The Hong Kong Society of Nephrology was established since 1979. It is a non-profit making professional organization consisting of doctors, nurses and other allied health staff who are interested in renal diseases.

HA Renal Commissioned Training 2016/2017

The Commissioned Training 2016/17 was two-day program held on the 21st to 22nd of January 2017. The theme of this year was “Improving the outcome of renal graft: from good to great”.

  The first day focused on the “Prevention and early detection of graft rejection” and was held at the Lecture Theatre, G/F, HKEC Training Center for Healthcare Management & Clinical Technology of the Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital. The second day focused on “Immunological and Non-immunological strategies to improve outcomes of renal graft” and was held at the Auditorium Level 1, Main Clinical Block and Trauma Center of Prince of Wales Hospital. This event was organized by the Central Renal Committee, Hospital Authority. The Hong Kong Society of Nephrology, the Hong Kong Society of Transplantation and the Hong Kong Kidney Foundation also served as co-organizers of this event. Scientific program included various lectures and panel discussions and this year we are honored to have Prof. Christophe Legendre and Prof. Peter Nickerson as the overseas speakers.
